DTPMP overview
ZEELCHEM™ 131 (DTPMP) controls scale in alkaline cooling water without additional pH correction and is particularly strong against barium sulfate and calcium sulfate. Its five phosphonic groups give high chelation capacity for transition metals.
Beyond water treatment it is used as a peroxide stabiliser, a chelant in textile dyeing and finishing, a pigment dispersant and a micronutrient carrier, as well as in paper, electroplating and acid cleaning.

Five phosphonic groups give very high chelation capacity for transition metals and strong threshold inhibition of sulfate scales, while the amine backbone keeps it effective at high pH.

Handling, storage and safety
Acidic liquid: causes eye and skin irritation. Wear chemical goggles, nitrile or PVC gloves and an apron; keep an eyewash nearby. Store in the original closed HDPE carboy, in shade, at 5–40 °C, away from strong alkalis and oxidisers. Do not store in mild-steel or aluminium containers. Rinse spills with plenty of water.
